Troubleshooting Order

Identify the issue first, then adjust settings

Connection problems usually come from account status, subscription contents, client mode, the selected route, or the current network. Adjust one thing at a time: update the subscription first, then change the route, and compare the protocol and proxy mode afterward. This makes it easier to identify what restored the connection and avoids losing track when several settings change at once.

Account & Subscription

Registration, plan types, subscription updates, and device changes.

Do I need an email address to register for VPNCX?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Use the username to sign in to the user panel and the password to verify your account. Choose a username that is easy to recognize but not shared with another service, and keep your login details secure. After registration, you can view plans, get clients, and manage your subscription in the user panel. Use the same username and password when switching browsers or devices.
Which should I choose: a monthly subscription or a data package?
Monthly subscriptions suit continuous use and include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, or ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly from the activation date. Data packages suit irregular use and include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB; they remain available until used and never expire. Consider how consistently you will use the service and how much data you need rather than comparing one-time prices alone.
How do I sync my client after updating the subscription link?
First sign in to the user panel and confirm that the subscription is still active. Then open the client’s subscription manager, find the existing VPNCX subscription, and update it. Reopen the route list and confirm that the region, protocol, and route name have refreshed. If old content remains, delete the locally saved subscription entry and import it again from the user panel. Only retrieve subscription links from your own user panel; never copy someone else’s link.
Do I need to buy another plan after changing devices?
No. You do not need to buy another plan when changing devices. VPNCX supports unlimited devices and works with Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Sign in to the user panel on the new device, get the appropriate client, and import your subscription. When you stop using the old device, remove its saved subscription details. If the device is shared, also sign out of the user panel so other users cannot see your account information.

Connections & Troubleshooting

Start with subscription imports, proxy mode, and network switching.

What should I check first if no routes appear after importing a subscription?
First confirm that you imported the subscription currently provided in the user panel, rather than an old text file or an invalid copy. Update the subscription in the client and check that the correct subscription group is selected. If it is still blank, close and reopen the client, or delete the old entry and import it again. Make sure the system date and time are correct, as a significant time error may affect connection verification. If the issue continues, submit a ticket through the user panel with the client name and error message.
Why does the client say it is connected when webpages still will not load?
A connected status means the client has established a connection to the selected route, but web access can still be affected by browser cache, system proxy settings, DNS resolution, or the destination service itself. Try another route, then fully close and reopen the browser. If only one site is affected, clear that site’s cache or use a new browser window. If all sites are affected, check that the client has enabled system proxy or VPN mode, and temporarily close other software that changes network settings.
Why does an app not use the connected route?
A common cause is rule mode: the app’s connection does not match a rule that requires forwarding. Check the current mode in the client and temporarily switch to global mode for comparison. If access works in global mode, the connection itself is fine; check the rule group or choose a suitable policy for the service. If the problem remains in global mode, try another route and protocol, then fully quit and reopen the app so it does not reuse an old connection.
How can I restore the connection after switching networks?
When a device switches networks, the previous connection path becomes invalid and the client may need to establish a new session. Disconnect from the current route, wait until the system confirms that the new network is available, and connect again. If the client remains stuck on connecting, end the client process and reopen it. When moving between networks frequently, try a protocol that connects quickly. When the network environment changes substantially, selecting a new route is more effective than repeatedly clicking the old one.

Speed & Routes

Narrow the options by time, region, use case, and protocol.

How should I switch routes when performance slows during peak hours?
Avoid repeatedly reconnecting to the same route. Switch from a standard route in the current region to an IEPL route, or try a nearby region that suits both your distance and use case. After switching, reopen the webpage, meeting app, or media app so it establishes a new connection. If regions perform differently, keep the most stable one instead of judging by a momentary speed. VPNCX covers 110+ countries / 240+ routes, making it practical to troubleshoot by region, route type, and use case.
What is the difference between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?
IEPL routes focus on stability across international links and suit meetings, sustained transfers, and peak-hour use. Relay routes pass through an optimized entry point before connecting to the destination region, generally balancing connection quality and regional coverage. Direct routes take a more straightforward path and suit networks that are already stable toward the destination region. Route names are not the only factor: the same route type can perform differently on different networks. Choose based on your network, destination region, and time of use.
How should I choose a route for AI Tools or Streaming?
Start by choosing a region where the target service is available, then check for the relevant use-case label. AI Tools benefit from sustained connections and stable interaction, so stable relay or IEPL routes are a good starting point. Streaming also depends on regional content, so choose a route matching the content region. After changing regions, fully quit and reopen the app to avoid retaining the previous region in an old session. If the page still shows the old region, clear the service cache and try again.
How should I choose between protocols?
Choose a protocol based on your device and network conditions. Hysteria2 and TUIC suit environments with noticeable network fluctuations. VLESS, Trojan, Shadowsocks, and VMess are useful for standard connections and compatibility comparisons. If a connection fails, first try another protocol in the same region to determine whether the issue is with the route or protocol compatibility. If speed fluctuates, change the route type first. When the client works normally, there is no need to chase a particular protocol name; stable completion of the task matters more.

Billing & Refunds

Verify plan pricing, data rules, payment status, and the refund process.

What are VPNCX’s monthly subscription prices and data allowances?
Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, or ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly from the activation date rather than on the first day of each calendar month. Consider your typical usage before choosing: browsing and text interaction usually use less data, while continuous Streaming, file downloads, and simultaneous transfers across multiple devices use more. All plans work with Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux and support unlimited devices.
What data package sizes are available, and do they expire?
Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. They remain available until used and never expire. They use a different billing model from monthly subscriptions, which reset from the activation date, and suit users with irregular usage who want to budget around actual consumption. Before choosing, check the current plan and remaining data in the user panel, then decide whether to keep the monthly subscription or choose a data package rather than judging by capacity alone.
Which payment methods are supported?
VPNCX supports Alipay / WeChat / USDT. Available options appear on the checkout page in the user panel. Choose a plan and follow the on-screen instructions to pay. Before paying, verify the plan name, data allowance, and amount to avoid submitting the same order again after returning to the page. If the payment status does not update promptly, check the order page first and do not create duplicate orders. If questions remain, submit a ticket through the user panel with the relevant order details.
How is a mid-cycle monthly subscription upgrade calculated?
For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is converted into the remaining days. Before upgrading, verify the current plan, target plan, and checkout result shown in the user panel. After confirming, complete the change, return to the account overview to check the plan status, and update the subscription in the client so local route information matches the account. Data still resets monthly from the activation date, so consider both current usage and future data needs when deciding whether to upgrade.
How do I request a 14-day no-questions-asked refund?
VPNCX offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel, open the ticket area, choose a billing- or refund-related category, provide the relevant order and refund request, and submit it. Confirm that you are using the account that purchased the plan, and keep the necessary order details for verification. Check replies in the same ticket during processing rather than submitting multiple requests for one order. The final result is determined by the order and ticket status shown in the user panel.
